Hockey is a big tradition for SUNY Oswego. One that SUNYAC Player of the Week Brandon Adams says is what brought him to the school. “When I was searching for different schools, Oswego was one of the schools that contacted me amongst a couple other SUNYAC schools , some rivals, both Plattsburgh and Geneseo. But Coah Gosek and the hockey program are what really persuaded me to become a part of Oswego.”
A Junior Business Administration Major, this is the first time that Adams has received this honor and is very excited. ” I didn’t even know til my dad texted me on, I think, Tuesday morning saying that I had won the award. So, it’s kinda cool but you can’t really put too much thought into it ’cause it’s done and over with now. It’s from the past week and we got this Saturday to look forward to. So that’s a little more important than what happened last weekend.”
Adams is of course talking about the SUNYAC finals game which they will be playing against Plattsburgh this Saturday, March 7 on the Plattsburgh home ice.
The team won the title of SUNYAC champs last year and also participated in last year’s NCAA tournament.
