Red Schoolhouse Maple gets ready for Oswego’s Maple Weekend

Oswego – Sugar houses around the Oswego area are getting ready for the second weekend of Maple Weekend. The owner of Red Schoolhouse Maple, Kim Enders said that during Maple Weekend her sugar house hosts a pancake breakfast every Saturday and Sunday from 8am until 12pm.

Maple Weekend is a state-wide event and maple producers all across New York open their sugar houses early for people to come and visit.

Visitors get a chance to see what goes into the process of maple syrup making and sample different products the sugar houses offer.

On their tours, they show their process of maple sugar making.  With their different rooms of each different processes for the maple sugar to the evaporator that is used to boil the sugar.
