Centro has decided to retain all services after adequate State aid was given to stop proposed cuts but will still makes some changes to their other services. Substantial cuts were proposed for Centro transit services which included getting rid of weeknight, Saturday and Sunday nights, and holiday bus services.

Those who ride the bus everyday say that the Centro bus is a very important form of transportation for them and the community and are happy that proposed cuts did not take place.

Even though the main bus services are remaining the same, the Central New York Regional Transportation Authority Board has voted to make some system-wide cuts which are listed below.

  • Both 7-day and 30-day unlimited ride passes will be discontinued.
  • special discount passes for the State Fair park-n-ride will be no longer available.
  • 10-ride passes will be offered at a 10% discount instead of the current 25%.
