Oswego State Golf Team Comes Back Swinging
The Oswego State Golf Team is back at it for the spring season. With the snow gone, their home course at Oswego Country Club is ready for action.
The team was away this week at the Elmira Spring Invitational. The team placed first overall, shooting a 337 combined score and beating rival Elmira by one stroke. Omari Howard, a senior on the team individually placed 2nd at the tournament and helped lead the team to victory shooting an 82 (+12). Howard feels they are off to a good start this Spring.

I mean we have one more tournament coming up, our home tournament so we’re coming off a win so I think we’re pretty hot right now, so I think we’re going to win our own tournament, hopefully.”[/su_quote]

This weekend is the 9th Annual Laker Spring Invitational. Conference opponents Keuka College, and rival Elmira College will be out at the Oswego Country Club Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 AM. The Lakers expect some hot competition and hope the weather will follow suit.
