OzFest concert artists announced, tickets on sale

The Third Annual OzFest concert will have rapper A-Boogie wit da Hoodie open while pop/rock band DNCE will headline.
OSWEGO, NY —After much anticipation, the artists for this year’s OzFest Concert have been announced. Headlining the May 5th show at the Marano Campus Center Arena will be the Joe Jonas led band DNCE and rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie.
Student Association President Emily Nassir says even though the entire student body may not be satisfied with the headliners, she is pleased with the reaction they are receiving so far.
“I mean it’s the reality, you can’t please everybody,” Nassir said. “But there’s way, at least from what we’ve seen, the pros are far outweighing the cons. Last year on the day that we started selling tickets we ended the day at 75. On Monday we ended at 222. It’s a huge indicator of where we are.”
The number of tickets now sold has grown to over 500. Nassir says they feel way ahead of the game due to the fact they booked the artists in December, compared to last year when they were still booking artists at this time.
Tickets for the concert can be purchased online, by phone, or in person at the Marano Campus Center Box Office. Advance tickets are 15 dollars for students and 20 for the general public. They will increase to 25 on the day of the concert. Tickets went on sale Monday. If you have questions, please contact sapb@oswego.edu.
