Weekend Now: Saturday events

Oswego, N.Y.- This Saturday, Oswego is offering a variety of entertainment events available for the community. These events include health and wellness benefits and a Latino Student Association dinner.

Three Sisters Gift, a mind body and spirit gift shop, which is located on 116 West 2nd street, Oswego, is hosting multiple workshops this Saturday from 1 to 8 p.m.

Lisa Pelkey, co-owner of Three Sisters Gift Shop, explained that they are excited to host the workshops and gave us a little insight to what each workshop entails.

“The first event is basically teaching life vitality and enhancement exercises that balances the mind, body and spirit. The second event that she’s hosting that day is a kinesiology, pendulum, and flower essences seminar, and then the tea leaf reading at the end of the day,” Pelkey said.

Latino Student Union at Suny Oswego is hosting its annual barbecue this Saturday at the Lakeside Commons from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The purpose of this event is to celebrate the efforts of the organization throughout the year. The theme for this year’s dinner is Brazilian carnival which is bright, flashy outfits, and flashy designs.The LSU invites the community to attend and celebrate the Brazilian carnival with food, entertainment, and music. Tickets are free and can be obtained on eventbrite.
