As we move into a new season and the temperatures increase, some students of SUNY Oswego are finally beginning to open their windows and start some spring cleaning.

After a long and hard Oswego winter, some rooms and houses might be left in disarray. For those seeking to have a cleaner home, here’s a list of five steps to spring cleaning for the college mind.

[su_spoiler title=”Step 1. ” open=”no” style=”fancy” icon=”chevron-circle”]Play your favorite songs and get rid of the the clutter you’ve accumulated throughout the winter months. [/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”Step 2.” open=”no” style=”fancy” icon=”chevron-circle”]Recycle! As you clear away everything you’re going to have a lot of cans and bottles left and that adds in a lot of nickels which can turn into spending money for you. [/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”Step 3.” open=”no” style=”fancy” icon=”chevron-circle”]Next, you want to take care of the floors! You want to take away that layer of grime that boots leave after walking all over them all winter. Often, one of the first things people see when they walk in your house is your floors, so vacuuming and mopping can be very important. [/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”Step 4.” open=”no” style=”fancy” icon=”chevron-circle”]Open your windows and let in the sunlight! Using a household cleaner to take care of your windows as well as your countertops and other surfaces goes a long way to keeping things clean and letting more light in throughout the spring months. [/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”Step 5.” open=”no” style=”fancy” icon=”chevron-circle”]Last but not least, try to maintain everything you’ve accomplished! After a long day of work, it feels much better to come back to a cleaner home. Keeping everything as neat as possible can make you an overall happier person.[/su_spoiler]

Happy Spring Cleaning!
