SUNY Oswego invites Oswego County residents to ‘Cruise the Campus’

OSWEGO, NY– SUNY Oswego President Deborah F. Stanley extended an invitation to Oswego County residents this week to visit the campus for various activities. The program titled “Cruisin’ the Campus” was introduced as a cheaper alternative to vacation for Oswego families on spring break. Nearly all the activities this week are free, with the exception of SUNY Oswego’s production of Pride and Prejudice, priced at $7 per ticket.

SUNY Oswego visiting professor and director of Pride and Prejudice, Mya Brown, said the production gives people in the area a chance to view a professional production without the high cost and travel.

“We’ve done a good job of trying to provide as close to a professional production as possible in this area with the limitations of budget, and obviously it’s students that run everything. Because of that I think it’s really a great opportunity for the community to see how we are building up our student base and giving them the opportunity to kind of experience the professional atmosphere of the theater,” Mya Brown said.

In addition to Pride and Prejudice, Oswego County residents are invited to utilize the school’s library, sporting facilities, art exhibits and planetarium.
