SUNY Oswego It’s on Us Campaign

The “It’s on Us” Campaign kicked off Sexual Assault Awareness Month on campus. The event took place in the Marano Campus Center, asking students to sign a pledge to not be a bystander to Sexual Assault. The table gained a lot of traffic from supporters as well as volunteers. The message for all: “It’s on us to stand up to sexual assault.”

This event is hosted and organized by SUNY Oswego’s Title XI Coordinator Lisa Evaneski, who has held this event on campus since the Fall of 2014. Each year she orders 500 T-Shirts, given to students that pledge, and each year she runs out and has more students sign pledges than T-Shirts to give.

This isn’t the only event held on campus for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This morning was the second of the One Love – Escalation Workshop for Dating Violence Prevention. In the future there will be a Title XI information session and a Bystander Intervention Training Session. For the full list of events coming up, visit the SUNY Oswego Events Calendar.
