GEDDES, N.Y. — Another chance for some fair favorite food is coming this weekend rain or shine.
“I was born into it, my father started the Pizze Fritte 60 years ago we’ve been doing this since 1955 and it’s just something we love doing,” owner of Villa Pizze Fritte Grazi Zazzara said.
Zazzara held a similar event last year as a drive-thru.
“We were the first ones last year in the country believe it or not to open up a drive thru,” Zazzara said. “We backed up traffic on 690 and on 81 it was amazing I mean I’ll say hundreds it’s closer to thousands of cars that were actually inline.”
This year is a walk-up Fair Food Fest.
“We’re just hoping to just get the State Fair Food Fest out there and give the people a little taste of it again,” Zazzara said.
A little rain isn’t going to stop Zazzara and other vendors from dishing out the classics.
“The weather is not cooperating, but I anticipate a good crowd this weekend,” Zazzara said.
The Fair Food Fest will take place near the Expo Center at the NYS Fairgrounds until Saturday. It will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m items can be purchased with cash or card.
